This is a 3D printed kit designed to run on 9mm gauge track/4mm scale/009. It is based on the South African Railways NG8 Class 4-6-0+T Tender Engine that operated on the Port Avontuur Railway Branchline out of Port Elizabeth. This is for a body only kit and is designed for the outside framed Graham Farish 08 chassis. The bogie and pony trucks are designed for the Peco 6.2mm Wagon wheelsets. The model does not come with valve gear but is suitable for the RT Models outside valve gear.

Coming soon will be a upgrade kit which will include etched number plates, bufferbeam plates, etched worksplates and white metal Vacuum pipes. It is expected to be available end of February 2026. There will be a choice of 2 running numbers.
Production and Delivery
Avontuur Models kits are produced to order in batches and are normally held in stock. There may be gaps between batches as we wait on deliveries from suppliers.
Postage
Postage is not included for Avontuur Models orders and is added at Checkout. For international orders shipping is at cost. Please note any local import duty or taxes that may be applied on delivery are the buyer's responsibility.
