About Us

Bowaters Models is a small UK Model Railway business owned and run by Jon Reeves and his family specialising in 4mm Scale 3D Printed Products and Laser Cut Garden Railway Kits. Bowaters Models released its first kit in March 2015 initially focusing on the rolling stock of the Bowaters Paper Railway following Jon's own purchase of a Accucraft Leader and looking for suitable rolling stock to run with it. Since then the business has grown and continues to do so with a ever growing range in 15mm, 16mm, 1:32, 10mm and 7/8ths Scales!

The Current Active and Planned Narrow Gauge Range includes most motive power and rolling stock kits from the Bowaters Paper Railway, Sittingbourne and Kemsley Light Railway, Chattenden and Upnor Railway, Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland Railways, Burma Mines Railway, Bridgton and Saco River Railroad, South African Railways, Isle of Man Steam and the Sandy River and Rangeley Lakes Railroad.

Our standard gauge range features models from the Southern Region of the United Kingdom focusing on the South Eastern Chatham Railway, London South Western Railway, London Brighton South Coast Railway, Southern Railway, some later British Railways designs and a small number of industrial prototypes. We are also working on a new range of Irish Prototypes to run on Gauge one track.

All kits follow our easy to build scratch aid plus policy where you can produce a great looking model while still being suitable for all ability levels with all kits being available complete including wheels, bogies (if appropriate) and buffers/couplings. For motive power, gears, gearboxes, motors and a optional Loco Remote are also available. Naturally for those who wish to do so, you can add additional detail to the models to product something truly world class.
